Some records show Samuel Wesley as born in 1820

They lived on a big farm in the Monville and Kingsley area.

Samuel got his back broken in a run-away with a team and wagon, then later moved to Leeds Iowa where they bought a house on Polk Ave., and lived until he died. Several years after Samuel’s death Jane bought a smaller house at 4314 Polk Ave. She died a week after she fell and broke her hip while going out to the clothes line to hang up a washed dress. They are both buried in the Harrison cemetery. - from Irene L. Townsend
