John Stage married Ann Blanchard and lived in Florida NY. This is a small village 5 miles north ofWarwick, NY in Orange County. The writer has found much confusion as to the places of birth forthis line. Vernon, Sussex County NJ is 5 miles south of the New York border. The family namewas not found in Vernon. It was however found all over Orange County NY. The Stagg name is very predominant in Warwick and the surrounding communities. Much local travel wasdone between the two areas by this family and a lot will never be certain because of it.
The childrenof John and Ann did the following. Rynear died in Amity, NY; Isaac moved toPennsylvania; Nicholaus moved to Mattawan, Michigan; John stayed in Florida with his wife.
