1633: Her husband made her executor of his will, and gave her half of "all my goodes and ymplements of household stuff with the lease of the tenemts which I hold from the Chabr of the Cittye."

1638: One of the overseers of her husband's will, Mr. Francis Dove, was twice mayor of Salisbury, England and one of the wardens of the St. Edmund's church. Under his advice and protection, Christian and her family joined the group of their fellow parishioners who went from old Salisbury to found a new Salisbury in New England, where the persecution of Archbishop Laud could not follow them. She appears on an undated list of the first settlers of Salisbury in the Massachusetts Bay Colony, among whom the common lands of the new town were first divided.

1640: Received land in Salisbury, MA in the "first division." Christian Brown, a widow with four sons, was one of the first settlers of Salisbury, MA.

1641: Received land in Salisbury.

George Brown and Christian Hibbert were married in the parish church of St. Edmund's, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England, on September, 30, 1611, at which time they made an offering of three shillings. George Brown died in England Nov. 8, 1633 leaving his widow and three sons Henry, William and George. [1] [2]

Widow Christian Browne came to New England with her three sons, Henry, William and George. She was of Salisbury, MA in 1639 when she received a land grant in the first division. She received a second land grant ' a little cove of meadow' Oct. 26, 1641. Widow Browne died Dec. 28, 1641. [3]
