Perry may have been married four times. His children by different wives include Oliver, Murl, Mary, and Thomas ,
and Laura, Mae, and Anna , and Jack and Elmer. Alice Winget may have been another wife.
it appears that Perry Deen spent time on the Indian Lands in Idaho and married secondly to Kate Rathbone. There is a story about one of his wives burning the families tent. He always told the story about meeting Chief Joseph the Nez Perce leader. I think Kate was Nes Perce.

We are descended from Benjamin Deen in Indiana. Benjamin was the father of my great grandfather, Perry Newton Deen who went to Idaho lived there for awhile and then came to Oregon. He owned about twenty acres near Butte Falls Oregon. He had sons, Oliver, Murl, Tom and a daughter Mary Deen. Murl was my Grandfather. Oliver Deen stayed in Idaho and lived in Horseshoe Bend. Murl had property near Perry's farm near Butte Falls. Mary Deen lived near Butte Falls, Oregon. Perry, Murl and Mary Deen Parisot are all buried near Butte Falls. They were all by his first marriage Alberta Winget was Perry Deen' first wife. She died in Oregon about six months after her son Tom Deen was born. Tom Deen Perry's youngest son stayed and married in Idaho. Perry had gone to Oregon and was found on the 1895 census with his children. He had another wife Kate Rathbone. She was indian, perhaps Sioux . They had 3 girls Anna, Mae and I cannot remember the other ones name. Kate Rathbone had two boys also one was named Jack. Perry also had a brother named Hazel Deen. He lived near Heppner Oregon.
