MRS. SCHOENEWE DIES AT HARTLEY
COMPLICATIONS F0LL0WED BIRTH OF DAUGHTER FRIDAY, JUNE 27

Mrs. Henry Schoenewe, aged twenty-three years, a life time resident of Lonetree township, Clay county passed away Friday afternoon, July 4, at five o'clock, at the Hand hospital in Hartley. Her death was caused from complications which developed following the birth of a baby girl on Friday June 27.

Florence Schoelerman, daughter of Mrs. J. J. Schoelerman of Everly, was born in Lonetree township, April 26, 1907. She received her education in the schools of that vicinity and graduated from Everly high school with the class of 1924. She later attended summer school at Sheldon. She was also a graduate of the Gould Conservatory of Music at Spencer.

After her graduation from high school, she worked for two years in the Jones' Music store at Spencer, where she acquired a large circle of friends.

In February, 1927, she was united in marriage to Henry Schoenewe. Jr., of Everly. They continued making their home on a farm in Lonetree township after their marriage. Each year of the Clay county fair, Mrs. Schoenewe assisted at the Jones' Music store.

Mrs. Schoenewe was a brilliant student and an accomplished musician. She had a sweet and lovable disposition and her death is keenly felt by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband and week old baby daughter, Audrey Luvonne, her mother, Mrs. J. J. Schoelerman, one sister, Mrs. Peter Steuben, six brothers, Reimer,John, Will, Edward, Jake and Art Schoelerman, all of whom with the exception of Will Schoelerman, live in Lonetree township. Will Schoelerman now resides at Buffalo, New York. She is also survived by other relatives and many friends.

Funeral rites were held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock from the Lutheran church in Everly. Rev. 0. C. Geisler, pastor of the English Lutheran church in Spencer, had charge of the services. Burial was made in the Lonetree cemetery.
