Robert died suddenly in Nov 1821 in Garrard, KY and wrote a hasty death bed will naming only his wife Betsy.

Aaron Acton assisted Betsy in settling Robert's estate. .

His widow Elizabeth "Betsy" later signed the consents for daughters Patsy, Nancy, and Delilah to marry. She never remarried.

Daughter Elizabeth was 21 and did not require consent to marry.
