Notes for Nathaniel II West
Following the death of his father, Nathaniel, Jr. made his home with his grandfather Matthew West, who was an early settler at Lynn, Mass., but removed to Newport in 1636. He was living at Newport, January 16, 1677, when he conveyed to his grandson Nathaniel, the dwelling house in which he then lived, the property adjoining John Crandall and John Thornton. The grantee was described as "son of my eldest son Nathaniel, who departed this life many years ago, and the property turned over in consideration of the fact that he hath for many years past and now does live with me and is the comfort of me in my old age."

19 May 1683, surveyed for Nathaniel West, 100 acres on the Delaware River, north from the mouth of a small creek, above Matinicunk Island. .

11 Oct 1683, Eleazer Fenton conveyed 100 acres to Nathaniel West surveyed in the First Tenth." .

19 May 1689, Daniel Leeds, of Springfield, Burlington County, N. J., Cooper, deeded 40 acres to Nathaniel West, of Mansfield, same County, adjoining land of the grantor. .

"1/ /1694/5, Return of survey by Daniel Leeds for Nathaniel West, of 5 acres allowance for highways to his settlement between his northeast corner, and William Lee. the land adjoining Thomas Williams, Tho. Singleton, Henry Stacy and Thomas Budd. .

10 May 1702, deed of Eliakim Wardell to John Smith, of three lots, one of which lies between Henry Stacy, Tho. Budd, Tho. Williams and Nathaniel West, bought of William West, Jan. 4, 1699/1700.
