They were the parents of 4 children:
William Pitt, Sir born Abt 1559.
Agness Pitt born Abt 1561.
Elizabeth Pitt born Abt 1565.
John Pitt born Abt 1569.

The Pitt family, from which the Earl of Chatham and his son were spring, according to Sir Bernard Burke and the heralds, can be traced up to Nicholas Pitt, who was living in the reign of Henry VI., and whose grandson, John Pitt, was Clerk of the Exchequer under one of the Tudors. This John Pitt had three sons, of whom the eldest, Sir William, Comptroller of the Household and a principal officer of the Exchequer under James I., was the ancestor of the Pitts of Stratfieldsaye, Hampshire, whose representative in 1776 was raised to the peerage as Lord Rivers of Stratfieldsaye, a title which became extinct in 1828. His second son, another John, settled in Ireland; whilst the third son, Thomas, who resided at Blandford, in Dorsetshire, being appointed, in the reign of Queen Anne, Governor of Fort St. George, in the East Indies, was the fortunate purchaser of the celebrated Pitt diamond, which weighed 127 carats, and by the sale of which to the Regent of France he made a profit of nearly 115,000 pounds.

John Pitt died 1602 in Blandford, Dorsetshire, England. He wrote his Will on 28 Sep 1599 . Probate was granted to his wife Johane on 13th February, 1601/2 but may have been delayed since there were no witnesses to his will. [9]
As well as sums of money and goods, he made bequests to his sons of leases on land in Preston and in Charlton, Dorset and also of houses and shops in Blandford and Poole. [9]
His Will, named his heir as William, followed in age by John and Thomas; daughters Eleanor Pitt and Susan received bequests as did his other unnamed grandchildren. [9]
At the time of the Will, his son John was married to an Alice, his son Thomas was unmarried. His son William was married but the name of his wife was not mentioned, he had a son Edward. [9]
One of the overseers to the will, was John's brother William Pitt. [9]
