Cornelis Berentss van de Kuyl was a son of Berent Huygen van de Kuyl and Huybertgen Jans Verhoeff, his brother was Jan Berentss van de Kuyl. Cornelis was married to Lysbeth Arents
"Cornelis Barentsen van der Cuyl a corn measurer and his wife Lysbeth Arents married in Holland but still were childless when they left the Netherlands in 1654. There are two baptisms recorded for Cornelis and his wife in the New Amsterdam Dutch Church, one of Marritie in 1655 and one of Neeltie in 1660. Cornelis van der Cuyl mentions his two daughters, Marritie and Neeltie in his 1696 will."
