HENRY DURANT
Henry Durant was likely the son of William Durand . Henry first appears in old records at Westmoreland Co. VA as do his presumed brothers Thomas and George. Henry was charged with the murder of William Storke of Westmoreland in 1677 and probably executed that year.

13 Sept. 1670. Henry and Sarah Durant to James Hardwick and Thomas Foster of Westmoreland County. 200 acres part of 500 acres that Durant purchased of Robert Cooper, which Cooper purchased of Richard Sturman, part of 2000 acres granted to Sturman by Sir William Berkeley. Sept.
1670. Acknowledged by Henry Durant and Sarah his wife. 13 Sept 1670. Henery and Sarah Durant unto James Hardwick and Thomas Foster Henery Durant Sarah Durant 28 7br [Sept] 1670. Acknowledged by Henry Durant and Sara his wife. However his wife, Sarah Durrant did not give up her dower in the land at the time.

Sept. 26th, 1677, Henry Durant was sued by Joseph Smith, brother and Executor of Jo__ Smith, decd.
10 November 1677. Westmoreland county. "William Storke late of this County dec'd., came to his death by sum sauallity --. That Abraham Taylor and HENRY DURANT did feloniously possess themselves with ye goods and all other ye estate of ye said William Storke Contrary to ye peace of our Soveraigne Lord ye King, doe continue ye said Estate in their possession. And Wee doe therefore upon suspect ye said Abraham Taylor and Henry Durant are murderously and felloneously guilty of ye death of ye said William Storke. Recorded ye 29 Sepr. 1677."
By Feb 27, 1678 the widow, Sarah Durrant, was married to Thomas Staley Henry Durrant Children were: 1- Mary, , 2- Henry, 3- Francis. Mary Durrant died 1710 In Westmoreland Co. -another posting claims that Henry was b. 1638
