John Wilson [Jr.] [1] immigrated to Boston, Massachusetts Bay Colony, with his father, in 1632. [2] It was his father's second voyage to New England, because his wife would not leave England in 1630. She accompanied him on the second voyage, with their son John, and daughter Elizabeth. Their son Edmund remained in England, and their daughter Mary was born in 1633 in Boston. [2]

John Wilson's father also named John Wilson was a graduate of Cambridge, and pastor of the the First Church of Boston. John Jr. followed in his father's steps, and graduated in the first class at Harvard in 1642. [3]

John Wilson [Jr.] married, by 1649 at Hartford, Connecticut, Sarah Hooker, eldest daughter of Rev. Samuel Hooker [2] and his wife Susannah. They had eight children. [3]

John was made assistant to Rev. Richard Mather, at Dorchester, Massachusetts, in 1649. [3] In December 1651 he was installed as the first Minister in the new town of Medfield, and ordained Pastor 12 October 1652, where he continued for forty years until his death. [3] He also served as schoolmaster and physician. [3]

He died 23 August 1691 at Medfield, Suffolk county, Massachusetts Bay Colony. [3] He was well esteemed by his community. [3]

John "had the benefit of joining the church of his father 3 Mar. 1644, but was not freeman until 1647, ordained as colleague with Rev. Richard Mather at Dorchester in 1649, but contined only two years and was then setted at Medfield."12

ca 1647 John married Sarah Hooker, daughter of Rev. Thomas Hooker & Susanna Garbrand . Born ca 1630 in Essex, England.19 Sarah died on 20 Aug 1725 in Braintree, MA.49

JOHN WILSON, Jr., was born in Windsor, Essex, England, in September 1621. He came with his father to New England in 1630. He graduated from Harvard College in 1642, was ordained and settled in Dorcester, Norfolk, MA, where he was a colleague of Rev. Richard Mather.

SARAH HOOKER was born in the Little Baddow section of Chelmsford, Essex, England, in 1629. She came to America with her father. She was planning her wedding when her father, the Rev. THOMAS HOOKER, died suddenly. She and JOHN married shortly thereafter.

In 1651, they removed to Medfield, Norfolk, MA, where Rev. JOHN WILSON, Jr., was the first minister of that town, and he remained there until his death, Aug. 23, 1691.

SARAH moved to Braintree, Middlesex, MA, and died there, Aug. 8, 1725

iv. Elizabeth WILSON was born 1653 in Medfield, Norfolk,
Massachusetts, and died 19 Nov 1653 in Medfield, Norfolk,
Massachusetts.
v. Elizabeth WILSON was born 5 Sep 1656 in Medfield, Norfolk,
Massachusetts, and died 19 Jul 1687. She married Thomas WELD 9 Nov
1681.

Massachusetts, and died 1727 in New Haven, New Haven, Connecticut. He
married Sarah NEWTON 4 Jul 1683 in New Haven, New Haven, Connecticut,
daughter of Roger NEWTON and Mary HOOKER. She was born 24 Jan 1662 in
Milford, New Haven, Connecticut, and died 20 Aug 1725 in Braintree,
Norfolk, Massachusetts.

Massachusetts. She married Grindal RAWSON 1681.
